Marylebone Square is an elegant mixed-use development in the historical Marylebone district, part of the provenance of aristocratic estates within central London. The stunning mixed-use development comprises 54 luxury and 25 affordable apartments, in addition to over 53,000 square feet of high-quality retail and wellness space. Appointed by Concord London Developments, HDR provided building engineering services, including the delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health; energy and sustainability; vertical transportation information technology and audio-visual systems; and lighting design. A striking five-story courtyard beneath a glass canopy is the centerpiece of Marylebone Square. The design team helped shape this key design element through early engagement with the architect. HDR provided a bespoke proposal involving sophisticated airflow systems to maintain fresh air circulation to both the courtyard and the apartments. The firm's knowledge and expertise in building physics and computational fluid dynamics modeling ensured it helped to deliver the architect’s vision through our optimization of air movement with solar and daylight penetration. This beautifully crafted video explores the magnificent spaces within the development and how we helped bring the ambitious vision for Marylebone Square to life.
