5 New Projects on the Vegas Strip Winning the Hospitality Game

July 10, 2023
There’s always a reason to visit The Entertainment Capitol of the World, but just in case, here are five more.

We’re officially breaking the age-old rule about “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” because with the openings of the following new or remodeled hotels, casinos and restaurants, we just can’t keep them a secret. Learn more about how these five projects are reinvigorating the hospitality experience on the Las Vegas Strip.

1. New York-New York | 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

New York-New York recently launched a $63 million room remodel project of its 1,830 rooms and 155 of its suites on the Las Vegas strip. The accommodations feature vibrant new designs crafted by hospitality design firm HVS Design in partnership with MGM Resorts International Design Group. The design aesthetic draws inspiration from the energy and excitement of two of the world’s great cities—Las Vegas and New York City. The remodel features design details that harken to New York City, such as rooms with exposed faux brick walls and accent colors such as Big Apple Red and Taxicab Yellow. These elements subtly bring the ‘City that Never Sleeps’ to life in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Reflecting a thoughtful use of space, rooms will incorporate modern conveniences such as moveable work surfaces, readily available USB/USB-C power outlets and additional shelving and closet space.

2. MGM Grand Hotel & Casino | 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

MGM Grand Hotel & Casino recently unveiled the room remodel of its Studio Tower reflecting a retro desert feel with mid-century modern design and décor aesthetic. The 700 new rooms, designed by LA-based hospitality design firm Avenue Interior Design, drew inspiration from the mid-century design style of Palm Springs, incorporating a desert palette of fresh pinks and chartreuse greens with clean lines and soft shapes. Within the new Studio Tower rooms (formerly known as West Wing), guests will find rounded window seats, enlarged headboards, globe sconces and carefully chosen artwork that accentuates the sculptural furnishings. Each guest bathroom features stylish, space-saving barn doors, illuminated vanity, marble shower floors and all new chrome fixtures.

3. Easy’s Cocktail Lounge | 3730 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89158

Industry trendsetter Clique Hospitality recently unveiled Easy’s Cocktail Lounge, a sultry new speakeasy hidden within the much-anticipated Proper Eats Food Hall on the promenade level of ARIA Resort & Casino. A secret entrance reveals a moody cabaret lounge for posh cocktailing on the low, where live musicians play post-modern jukebox music and expert bartenders display their meticulous craft. Easy’s is a sultry world accessible to those in the know, where emerald hues and velvet textures enthrall the senses. Theatrical floor-to-ceiling emerald green drapery and velvet upholstered panels frame the recessed performance stage and an explosion of florals on the ceiling is mirrored on the carpet below. Luxurious sofas featuring sophisticated channel tufting are paired with comfortable chairs, while dark-stained oak wood and marble coffee tables provide an open invitation for lounging.

4. Ocean Prime Las Vegas | 3716 S Las Vegas Blvd #401, Las Vegas, NV 89158

Ocean Prime Las Vegas recently debuted as the anchor restaurant in the multi-level retail and hospitality complex, 63. The 14,500-square-foot flagship restaurant can seat over 400 guests in three private dining rooms, two bars and a nearly 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace. The outdoor patio and lounge area will be designed for guests to take in the breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip while evoking the feeling of being at a resort by the sea. 5. Stanton Social Prime | 3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Stanton Social Prime at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas opened its doors earlier this year, adding a decadent new chic dining destination to Sin City. Designed by renowned architecture and design firm Rockwell Group, Stanton Social Prime draws inspiration from the original restaurant on New York’s Lower East Side and the Las Vegas Strip, with a modern nod to Art Deco style and dramatic showmanship. Guests enter the 200-seat space through the velvet curtain to the main dining room featuring bold colors of ruby red, sapphire blue and gold with rich textures and patterns found in extravagant costume design. The 10-seat bar spotlights top-shelf spirits and a globe-spanning wine list. Additionally, the two private dining rooms transport guests to their own backstage salon with decorative paneling evocative of a dressing room screen.
