FLOS' Skynest lamp, designed by Marcel Wanders, blends the tradition of handcrafted weaving with innovative lighting techniques. Its unique light sources – 24 LED strips covered in recycled polyester fabric, rather than a central bulb or LED board – are intersected with 48 more colored rods to create a piece of functional art. Each is inserted between the central core and the perimeter ring, thanks to special jacks that ensure the passage of current and maintain its shape. Two new models were launched this week at Milan Design Week (April 18-23, 2023), suspended Motion and fixed Ceiling. Four colors are available in Anthracite, Almond, Brick and Tourmaline Blue.
FLOS is present at Euroluce in Pavilion 13, booth 106, Fiera Milano Rho and is also featuring site specific installations and collections at both their professional space at Corso Monforte, 15, and flagship store at Corso Monforte 9, both in Milan.
