1. Studio Dirk VanderKooij has used the transparent plastic of old CDs to create the Fresnel Light. Visible layers are created by
a custom-made robot, building a structure that prevents glare and refracts its LED lights. Hung off a steel wire, it resembles an orbiting planet as it rotates around a metal ball center. Available in three sizes (two, three, or four rings).
2. Temple by Krivens Partners recently won Best in Show at BKLYNxDesigns. The work-pod transforms old water tanks into transportable work spaces. The raised platform allows the table to be both standing bar-height and seated desk-height to accommodate different working conditions while creating a cozy, more private atmosphere. The design is patent pending.
3. Named after a beloved professor, the Bob Lamp from Talbot & Yoon is elegant through its simplicity and use of materials. Available as a table desk or hung as a pendant, the body features hand cast concrete with recycled glass aggregates, and the half-gold mirrored bulb works as lightshade and focal-point.
4. Sloan has introduced a turbine-powered option for its BASYS automatic faucet line that conserves both water and energy. It generates hydroelectric power that extends battery life (AA) up to 10 years. It also offers automatic pre-set time-out, based on flow rate. Available in four finishes with two trim plates and optional mixing valve.
5. earthly offers a vibrant line of eco-friendly wall coverings and fabrics which doesn't compromise design for sustainability. Wall coverings are PVC-free and low-VOC with 31 percent recycled content, while the fabrics are printed on hemp or hemp-blended materials with reactive dye and water-soluble inks.

7. Muemma somehow twists high tech into warm and cozy. The ARiNA speaker can be placed on a table and used as a charging dish, wall-mounted, or become portable. The inner cover wall deflects sound waves and disperses music in every direction throughout the room, similar to an arena. Covers can be changed to a variety of fabrics, colors, and finishes with a quick twist.
