Inspired by the resurgence of mid-century modern design, the simple beauty of this new woven collection from the Mohawk Group, entitled Industrial Design, is a shining example of the integration of traditional craft into industrial production techniques. The collection includes two elegantly simple patterns, Applied Art and Applied Science. The third, bolder pattern called Idlewild was inspired by the simple sweeping curves of the Idlewild airport–now John F. Kennedy airport–designed by internationally renowned architect and industrial designer Eero Saarinen.
