Aside from sugar and spice and everything nice, what else are you made of?
I have a whimsical, colorful exterior persona of plastic, but inside I’m a pillar of strong, expanding foam. Did you know I can easily hold over 400 pounds?
Who in your family do you most resemble?
My cousin, Tilt Ply. I’m the colorful personality, but she’s the more sophisticated and refined one with her curved wood.
What are your biggest turn-ons?
Someone rocking me slow, or flipping me over for a new position.
What inspires you?
This may sound odd, but I’m inspired by homework desks. I think if I could partner with desks like that, we could inspire youngsters by creating a fun sitting experience that burns a little extra energy. Maybe that could help kids focus a little more on their homework and a little less on video games.
How do you lessen your environmental impact?
I use less plastic than you might think. It’s my
foam fill that gives me shape and strength, allowing me to reduce the thickness of my plastic shell wall in half. That’s 8 pounds of plastic saved in each one of my buddies!
What do you see when you look in the mirror?
I see a lowercase “a,” or, if I flip over, a lowercase “b.” If I rotate another 180 degrees I see a “d.”
If I stack myself on a few buddies I see a bookcase, and if we stand in-file, I see a bench. I’m versatile, is what I guess I’m trying to say!
In what type of interior environment do you make the greatest impact?
I love brightening spaces with my bold colors. I’m also great at fueling creative minds—I think it’s due to my rocking attitude. That’s why I want to be in the new collaborative, open concept offices being designed these days.
Describe the secret to your success.
That’s easy: I make people smile.
