Richard Frinier Collection to sponsor 10 student memberships annually until 2015.
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The American Society of Furniture Designers is pleased to announce the continued sponsorship of student membership scholarships. Beginning in 2011, Richard and Catherine Frinier of the Richard Frinier Collection agreed to sponsor ten student memberships annually until 2015.
ASFD is excited to increase their student membership, and feels that having a younger generation of designers active in the organization is mutually beneficial. "We realize that young professionals are the future of our profession and it is an honor to have Richard and Catherine sponsor many students over the next few years," says ASFD President John Conrad. "Education outside the traditional classroom from an organization like ASFD is invaluable."
It is through donations such as this that ASFD is able to maintain its outreach to students and young professionals. "It is our privilege to give to ASFD to assist with future student scholarships and also the student membership scholarship we initiated more recently," says Catherine Frinier.
Now in its third year, this scholarship continues to give students important access to a professional organization. The 2013-2014 student membership scholarships will be awarded Nov. 1, 2013.
