Malvern, Penn.–based CertainTeed (a Saint-Gobain subsidiary) has served North American builders, architects, and designers with exterior and interior building products since 1904. The surface solutions provider continues to evolve beyond its roots as a roofing manufacturer, with its Malvern Innovation Center serving as a “living lab” for sustainable product development to meet acoustical, biophilic, air quality, climate resilience, and durability needs. CertainTeed’s latest solutions include the lightweight Decoustics Impressions ceiling and wall system.
Decoustics Impressions panels are available in regular and low-VOC fiberglass models engineered to improve building acoustic performance. Tested to CPDH Standard Method v1.2 by Berkeley Analytical, the low-VOC product emits less than 9.0 µg/m3 in both classroom and private office settings, and total VOC emissions ranged from ≤0.5 mg/m3 in a classroom setting to >0.5–4.9 mg/m3 in a private office environment.
Ten solid-wood look finishes feature non-repetitive patterns for a more realistic appearance, embodying a sense of tranquility. Robust surfaces can be washed and sanitized with approved cleaners that meet USDA/FSIS Guidelines for food preparation areas and FGI Guidelines for cleanability under Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities requirements.
CertainTeed can provide custom sizes, shapes, and forms. The lightweight, fully-engineered product is delivered ready for installation, which can be integrated with the Ceilencio ceiling suspension system for simple plenum access.
