For their fourth collection, Robert Allen and Larry Laslo have continued their successful collaboration with the Artisan Collection, a new line inspired by Laslo’s lifelong passion for all things handmade. Drawing from the works he loves most, Laslo has joined his luxe aesthetic with his dynamic eye for painting, sculpture, and the arts. The end result is a rich and modern collection of elegant hues and subtle embellishments.
The Robert Allen Group’s senior vice president of design and marketing Jennie Wilde notes, “Larry’s artistic point of view brought a unique story to the table. His personal passion for the history and process of art lends an exceptional taste level to the collection, which, combined with Robert Allen’s focus on color, has created a chic and inspired new line.”
For the Artisan Collection, Laslo’s creative process focused not only on his favorite paintings and sculptures, but also on the lines and motifs he loves most within art as a whole. “I want this collection to lend a dramatic, lush look to interiors with its intense colors and lavish textures,” says Laslo. “Just as a great piece of art can make a room, so can the right choice of fabric, and the Artisan Collection is full of these statement makers.”
The colors of the Artisan Collection were derived from certain works of art and chosen to best complement the luxe look of the collection. Though predominantly earth tones, the patterns pop with vibrant and fashion-forward hues in shades of orange, fuchsia, teal, and more, creating a beautifully coordinated, but not overly matched, world of color. Two color books for the Artisan Collection showcase this balance of vivid and subtle: Gemstone, a book dominated by jewel tones with intense, but livable hues, and Quartz Stone, clean and crisp shades that mimic the natural coloring of minerals and pottery.

Mosaic Field: A soft and luxe floral with a twist, Mosaic Field is available in three subtle colorways: Cerise, Iris and Pearl.
Ratana Swirl: Bold, modern swirls add full dimension to this fine quality Italian damask, which is available in three colorways: Brass, Nickel and Pewter.
Plaid Wool: A truly luxurious and soft 100 percent wool plaid made in Italy, Plaid Wool comes in three rich jewel tones: Iris, Mineral and Tourmaline.
