Sherwin-Williams launched its first-ever Color Capsule of the Year in celebration of the 15th anniversary of announcing the Color of the Year. The capsule is a curated assortment of hues from classic, cutting-edge, and capacity to create beautiful combinations. The 2025 Color Capsule of the Year includes essential colors across the brand’s collection—including Colormix Forecast favorites, their brightest whites, top designer picks, and the colors that best reflect their past and future.
Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams said, “It’s very special to commemorate our 15th Color of the Year anniversary by expanding to an entire capsule that is a modern, fresh take on color, with a balanced and usable assortment of shades.”
The capsule features forever favorites, trendy hues, and future color classics to encompass several eras and aesthetics. Shades include:
- Grounded SW 6089: This versatile and captivating brown from the 2025 Colormix Forecast, with its earthen tone, brings calmness to spaces.
- Sunbleached SW 9585: Venture beyond a basic beige or taupe with this adaptable and airy light neutral from the Designer Color Collection.
- Chartreuse SW 0073: This vibrant yellow-green has appeared on three of the most recent Colormix Forecasts and features a tropical brightness that is eclectic and versatile.
- Rain Cloud SW 9639: Set a mood with this stormy and deep gray-blue hue from the Designer Color Collection Rustic + Refined.
- Clove SW 9605: A cozy warm neutral that borders on black, this entrancing brown in the Warm + Welcoming palette from the Designer Color Collection brings comfort to a space.
