Formica proudly introduces 35 new laminate products in three palettes, which are available as of September 1, 2015. The 102-year-old company’s SurfaceSet collection includes two new finishes, six solid colors, 11 patterns, 12 wood grains, a reclaimed denim fiber laminate, and four new patterns created by Jonathan Adler to provide options to a wide variety of commercial spaces.
The three palettes—Unfiltered, Saturate, and Raw—are inspired by nature and minimalism.
Unfiltered takes its cues from authentic raw materials like denim, linen, and stone. Keeping “less is more” in mind, Unfiltered’s palette sticks with simple, soft, and cool hues that blend with subtle warm tones. Saturate rejoices in retro with a contemporary vibe. Vibrant hues reminiscent of rare fauna and flora, tropical destinations, and fruits blend with eclectic patterns to jazz up interior spaces. Raw tills from the earth, emulating the warmth and beauty of the natural world. Pulling in more soft, mellow tones, Raw provides the user with a more neutral effect.
Drawing inspiration from each palette from social, economic, and design trends, the 35 new products are the result in months of design and style research. Maintaining the durability that Formica is known for, the new SurfaceSet line helps professionals stay on the forefront of design while maintaining a budget.
