A new color finishing system for Alucobond ACM allows architects to incorporate
a unique, ever-changing color spectrum in the cladding of sophisticated building
designs.
Alucobond aluminum composite material (ACM) by Alcan Composites USA features Alucobond Spectra Colors – a new color finishing system for Alucobond ACM – to allow architects to incorporate a unique, ever-changing color spectrum in the cladding of sophisticated building designs. Alucobond Spectra Colors change colors as different wavelengths of light are reflected back to the audience, depending upon the viewing angle.
Alucobond ACM consists of two sheets of 0.02-inch aluminum thermobonded to a plastic core. Alucobond provides extraordinary flatness and rigidity, excellent formability, low weight, and outstanding weather resistance. Alucobond aluminum-faced panels are manufactured with a polyethylene core in a standard 4mm thickness.
