Heineken Headquarters Reflects Company'sTradition

New York, NY - Leading interior space planning and architecture firm MKDA has designed 11,000 square feet of office space on behalf of Heineken USA at One Landmark Square in Stamford, CT. The beer importer, which has its US headquarters at 360 Hamilton Avenue in White Plains, NY, is using the space as its Northeast Regional Office.

According to MKDA Director of Design Julia Lindh, the space was given a fresh design that not only reflects the qualities of the company's light beer, but also maintains some of the traditional elements of the Heineken USA brand.

The contemporary space is draped in a light green hue, rather than Heineken's signature deep green shade, and is highlighted with Maplewood and brushed chrome accents. An elegant curved and canted white glass partition divides the back office from the 1,500 square-foot bar and reception area, which is outfitted with wood flooring, high-top tables, banquettes, pendant lighting fixtures, sheetrock ceilings and an illuminated glass bar.

The beer company was also given a creative think room using warm amber-colored accents, soft illumination, and upholstered chairs with tablet arms to enhance creativity and camaraderie among Heineken employees. Knoll workstations, Atlas carpeting and Geiger private offices that feature beautifully articulated metal-and-glass office fronts further distinguished the space.

"The Stamford team has done a fantastic job planning and designing the concept for Heineken's new offices. The project's success reflects MKDA's commitment to senior-level project oversight and to creating functional environments that convey a company's unique brand," said MKDA President Michael Kleinberg.
