Just when it feels like there’s nothing new under the sun, an innovative color collection comes along to wake up the senses and open up fresh design possibilities. DuPont has just released four new collections for residential and commercial surfaces, including 16 vibrant colors and patterns from Corian® and Zodiaq®.
Corian® is a durable solid surface made from natural minerals and pure acrylic polymer; it’s stain- and heat-resistant, which makes it easy to maintain. And its patented DeepColor™ technology adds greater depth to the color and reduces the appearance of scratches. A favorite for kitchens and bathrooms, Zodiaq® is composed of pure quartz crystals. Its appearance offers depth and light-catching radiance, and its performance boasts strength and sturdiness.
DuPont developed the new collections with comprehensive market research and input from design professionals all over the world. The global company keeps tabs on noteworthy trends that span different regions and countries, looking to create styles that surpass standards for both aesthetics and practicality.
The New Collections
- White Collection
White is not just the absence of color; it has a depth and character all its own. Clean, refreshing and simple, this collection is balanced between cool and warm, providing a blank canvas on which to build patterns and values.
- Blue Collection
Ranging from light and bright to dark and rich, blue is the color that conveys trust, calm and authority. This collection introduces more modern blues, with a deeper and more sophisticated palette.
- Earth Tone Collection
Reflecting growth and sustainability, greens and browns are both timeless and inventive. This collection is focused on breaking new ground, incorporating fresh nature-inspired colors into design.
- Gray Collection
Polished and subtle, gray offers balance and composure in design. It adapts to its circumstances, ranging from a soft neutral background to a dramatic enhancement of other colors. This collection brings out darker, more contemporary grays.
Both Corian® and Zodiaq® can be custom-cut and installed in a wide variety of spaces. They are particularly appealing in hospitality applications, including bars, restaurants, hotels and resorts. Corian® and Zodiaq® are both durable enough to meet the demands of high-traffic environments, and beautiful enough to deliver the sensory experience guests expect from hospitality environments. They can adapt to fit almost any design installation, and they are both non-toxic, non-allergenic, and easy to clean, repair and maintain.
The Collection in Action: Aloft Raleigh
The Aloft Raleigh hotel recently installed two colors from the collections in a chic new space called the Think Tank. The hotel aims to use the Think Tank as both a conference room and a flexible space for guests.
The room offers top-quality technology features, and the Corian® and Zodiaq® surfaces help elevate it to a high-end, modern workspace. Aloft used Corian® Deep Cloud for the smaller desks in the room, and Zodiaq® Calcutta Natura for the wide conference table. The workstations also incorporate the Corian® Charging Surface, which allows guests to wirelessly charge their devices.
