Fantini Opens Italian Resort Inspired by Nature

Nov. 16, 2017

Spearheaded by Daniela Fantini, CEO of Fantini, Casa Fantini/Lake Time is now open to guests. Located in Pella, Italy, the same area where the Fantini company has its headquarters, the resort site offers an exclusive experience on Lake Orta in the northern part of the country. It is described as a “place of harmony, where landscape, architecture, and light blend in a perfect equilibrium, and time seems frozen as if by magic.”

Fantini explained, “Casa Fantini is a hospitality project that expresses the same passion for design and [a] cozy atmosphere, features that are embedded in [the] Fantini company. The common thread is water, always present in all our activities and [driving] our everyday work. Casa Fantini is born from my love for the spirit of the [location], for what is genuine and handcrafted, and that represents the culture of Lake Orta, where I find my roots.”

Lissoni Architecture Milan led the design and construction of Casa Fintini/Lake Time. Fantini has had a longstanding partnership with architect and designer Piero Lissoni, well known for his contemporary furniture design. For the project, he thoroughly interpreted Fantini’s ideas with great attention to detail. For example, natural wood and stone are used to blend in with the resort’s surroundings and the overall feel of Lake Orta. “Everything has been attentively, although discreetly, arranged; everything blends in to create an atmosphere of serene tranquility,” Lissone said. “One has to feel ‘at home’ here.”

Casa Fantini/Lake Time, which opened to guests in Summer 2017, comprises two lakefront buildings, one old and the other new, which Lissoni has integrated seamlessly into the surrounding countryside. The resort includes 11 guest rooms (two are suites), all with lake views. The resort experience begins in the lounge, the heart of the site, with an inviting atmosphere for quiet surroundings inspired by the landscape.

Specialized activities are available to visitors, including excursions to hidden areas in nature, visits to gardens and design museums, gastronomic dining experiences, food tastings, and introductions to local traditions. For more information, visit casafantinilaketime.com
