Fore! New Golf-Themed Headquarters for TaylorMade

Oct. 19, 2018

TaylorMade, the well-known manufacturer of golf clubs and accessories, reveals its new headquarters in Ontario, Canada, designed by Ware Malcomb.

If you’re a golf enthusiast, then you’ve likely heard of TaylorMade – big-time manufacturer of golf clubs and accessories. Over the years, the widely known company has made a name for itself since it debuted its innovative metal driver in 1979, and has since expanded both its products and locations. TaylorMade has headquarters in Carlsbad, California, as well as a new headquarters in Canada.

A Hole-in-One for TaylorMade

International design firm Ware Malcomb recently completed construction on the company’s new Canadian headquarters, located in Woodbridge, Ontario. Ware Malcomb’s role was prime consultant, providing interior architecture and design services and managing mechanical and electrical engineering consultant services.

The new 6,100-square-foot one-story facility includes the company’s corporate offices, as well as a golf laboratory and product showroom that are open to the public. The consumer-facing space features three state-of-the-art golf performance labs, a putting green and a workshop designed to build custom-ordered TaylorMade products on-site.

Honoring Golf

The facility’s interior design honors the sport of golf and its storied history in Canada, one of TaylorMade’s largest markets. Many of the showrooms and meeting spaces were named after some of Canada’s best golf courses, including the Banff Springs Room and Capilano Room. Other areas feature the names of TaylorMade club professionals from across Canada, as well as the winners of Professional Golf Association (PGA) tournaments in Canada.

“TaylorMade wanted an innovative facility that would provide an inspiring atmosphere for its employees, customers and partners alike,” said Frank Di Roma, principal of Ware Malcomb’s Toronto office. “This new stand-alone facility reflects the core values of TaylorMade, as well as the sport of golf’s tremendous history and influence in Canada.”
