NeoCon Welcomes New and Expanded Showrooms for 51st Edition in theMART

June 10, 2019

Just in time for its 51st event in June, commercial design show NeoCon announces seven new permanent showrooms, along with several expanded spaces in Chicago’s theMART.

The biggest event for the commercial design industry—NeoCon—just grew even larger. Running June 10-12 at theMART in Chicago, the annual show for interior designers recently announced numerous new and expanded showrooms. While demand for space in theMART remains high, seven new permanent showrooms, including Hightower, Kwalu, Beaufurn, Montisa, Cumberland Furniture, Emeco and HAT Contract, will make their debut on the building’s 11th floor just in time for the show’s 51st edition.

The notable addition also includes several expanded spaces in the 7th Floor Exhibit Hall, where many brands showcase their newest products and designs.

“In addition to seven new showrooms, a number of current tenants are unveiling expanded, design-forward new spaces,” Byron Morton, vice president of leasing for NeoCon, said in a press release. “Their strategic investment is a testament to the strength and value of theMART as a premiere business location and NeoCon as an invaluable resource and hub for the commercial interiors industry.”

Read on for information about some of the new permanent showrooms, and be sure to stop by interiors+sources’ Materials Pavilion on the 7th Floor Exhibit Hall (Booth 7-1000) during NeoCon 2019.

HAT Contract, Booth 11-122

HAT Contract’s new permanent showroom is designed by Ted Moudis Associates.

During NeoCon, HAT Contract is showcasing its new combined lines, which include height adjustable bases in two new finishes and ergonomic designs such as Ella—a new monitor arm that departs from the traditional gas cylinder approach. In addition, the company is introducing Winston Lift, an arm-based sit-stand for the retrofit market.

Montisa, Booth 1198

Montisa is a 113-year-old company that has been in the contract office space for the last 30 years. It has recently relaunched and reinvented its brand as “industrial artisan chic” with a focus on helping organizations find their individuality.

The new showroom space, designed by Mark Warren and Larry Leete of Montisa, with the help of Lin Ver Meulen and Brent Casanova of Square One, is set to unveil the revamped company, its 12 new product introductions and preview the fall launch, which has an emphasis on Build Your Own Environment.

Beaufurn, Booth 1159

Beaufurn, a manufacturer of functional furnishings for hospitality, contract and entertainment markets, is working with Thomas Patrick Consulting and Bushman Construction to highlight the business’ growing commercial side in its 943-square-foot showroom, which is being designed by Michael Duncan and Stephanie Shoffner.

This year’s NeoCon event will feature the introduction of the brand’s contract styles: the Ibiza modular seating system, the Solace and Strata chairs, and the Infinity conference table, among other recent introductions that include the Allure and Perla chairs.

Hightower, Booth 1110

Hightower, a family-founded and operated 15-year-old company, will be designed with a fresh, playful aesthetic inspired by its young co-founders, sisters Natalie (CEO) and Rachel Hartkopf (board chairwoman).

The new 3,500-square-foot showroom, created in partnership with designer Case Keasler of Casework, will showcase all the possibilities Hightower offers for modern office interiors.
