Pulp Studio expands its DermaGlass offering to include DermaAR, a matte finish option for back painted or graphic interlayers where weight and durability are key factors.

Pulp Studio's DermaAR is an acid-etched, ultra-thin architectural material that is highly durable, lightweight and resilient for both exterior facades and interior applications. It is part of their DermaGlass collection. DermaAR, with a thickness of 1.3mm, is a low iron glass offered in sizes up to 58 in. x 118 in. It is a tough, flexible, lightweight, scratch-resistant material that can be used with Pulp Studio’s Pintura, a water-based back-painted, or laminated with printed graphic interlayer. This makes it a resilient and versatile material for architectural and elevator cab applications. Using an ion-exchange process, the ultra-thin profile of DermaGlass and DermaAR also offers designers applications such as bent glass column surrounds or customized, decorative shapes. DermaAR in particular is an acid-etched surface that is smooth yet matte to minimize glare.
