Trex Commercial Products’ Ornamental Railing Systems Hold Up in Any Space

Jan. 2, 2019

A leading national provider of decorative railing systems, Trex Commercial Products has installed railing in some of the largest spaces in the country, including Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium and the T-Mobile Center in Las Vegas.

From door knobs to electrical outlets, light bulbs and more, interior designers know that even the smallest details can make or break a space in a room. A sleek railing system, for instance, can add both form and function to a space. Ornamental railings have continued to evolve with today’s rise of professional and collegiate sports venues, massive arenas and new hotels. No one knows this better than Trex Commercial Products, a leading national provider of modern and efficient indoor and outdoor decorative railing systems that enhance accessibility, safety and overall user experience.

Having supplied ornamental railing for some of the largest projects in the country – like Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium, the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the U.S. Coast Guard headquarters in Washington, D.C. – Trex Commercial Products brings expertise to the preconstruction, engineering and manufacturing of architectural railing systems.

Sacred Heart University

When designing its new Center for Healthcare Education, Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, choose to use nearly 1,500 linear feet of various Trex Commercial stainless railing styles throughout the three-story, 8.7-acre facility. The interior stairs, walkways and overlooks are equipped with Luxor, Trex Commercial Products’ double-bar post and glass railing design. LED lighting accentuates much of the interior stainless handrails, offering a clean aesthetic throughout the fresh space.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

In St. Louis Park, MN, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel completed a renovation that includes Trex Commercial Products’ Aspen glass railing system within the indoor pool area. The new railing system is comprised of glass infill panels secured by vertical black anodized aluminum channels that run the height of the stainless-steel post. The Aspen glass railing system is found on the pool area’s stairs, overlooks and ADA ramps. It uses an opaque white interlayer to create privacy within the space. A stainless-steel handrail and custom dark stained white oak top caps complete the look.

Delta SkyClub

With the goal of strengthening its presence in the Northwest, Delta Airlines wanted to create a guest experience unlike any other at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. In 2016, Delta opened the new $21 million SkyClub, which features an immense 21,000-square-foot lounge, complete with a custom glass railing system and stainless-steel handrails from Trex Commercial Products. The glass railing used in the SkyClub’s staircase, overlooks and second-floor landing allow for unobstructed views and enhance the light, airy feel of the space.
